SHOW US YOUR BEADED BOTTLES!!!

Every New Orleanian and many who have visited during Carnival season and St. Patty's have that secret stash somewhere. Guilty as charged. Well, we want you to show us your beads!!! Take your empty Old New Orleans Rum bottle and turn it into a work of art. Snap a couple of pictures of it and send it here. We're only accepting 50 applicants and each applicant can send up to 3 entries. We'll feature the bottles as we receive them on the Old New Orleans Rum site as well as our social networking outlets. Before breaking out the beads and craft glue check out the rules and regulations, here...

Importante!! 

1. We require a before and after picture of your Old New Orleans Rum bottle. Naked then beaded.

2. You must be 21 years of age or older to enter the contest.

3.You must live within the United States, we do apologize to our international rum runners and bead bearers.

4. You must use Mardi Gras-style beads in some capacity.  If you don't have any, there is always next year.

5. Applicants must include Name, Age and Address with submissions.

Judging

So you won a few pumpkin carving contest in your day.  Here's where the pressure is on but not without its pleasures. Instead of goopy seeds you get to enjoy a smooth rum. No sharp objects needed but a glue gun will be handy.  Here's a few pointers on how we'll be judging... And no you can't schmooze us. We already drink the rum like hardened sailors.

1. Instead of taking a picture of your Old New Orleans Rum bottle next to your week-old pizza and stale beer, taking your beautiful work of art out to your town's famous or infamous landmark  for a photo shoot.  Whether that's the world's largest yarn ball or the Grand Canyon, we'll take note of the effort.

2. Your doing an injustice to your Old New Orleans Rum bottle if you just lacquer a handful of beads onto her. Theme it, mean it, if not, make it wild! You'll tip the scales in your favor.

3. No one ever got feedback from Dr. Frankenstein after he created his beast, but we'd love to know a little about your beauty. So if you include a line or two about how your bottle came to be, it'll make it that much more fun for us.
