Tour Our Distillery

Celebration Distillation offers daily tours and tastings at the distillery. Monday thru Thursday at 2:00PM; Fridays and Saturdays 2:00PM and 4:00PM and closed Sundays. The tour is $5 per person and lasts approximately 45 minutes. It is a good idea to call ahead the day you plan to come to make sure private events have not caused the cancellation of certain tour times and to get good directions. The Distillery is not within walking distance of the French Quarter. You will need to take a cab or drive.

Our tours offer a intimate and detailed look at the distillation process from beginning to end. All of our tours conclude with a visit to our tasting room. Become a connoisseur as you experience the subtle flavors of our distinctive rums. On occasion the distillers will offer samples of rums we have yet to bring to market to get your thoughts on the directions they are going.

 For groups larger than 10 please call ahead the day you plan to come so we can prepare to better serve you.

Step 1. Making the Wash: Louisiana grown sugar cane molasses mixed with water and yeast.

Step 2. Fermentation: The yeast eats the sugar in the molasses and produces alcohol.

Step 3. Pot Still Distillation: This distillation strips the alcohol out of the wash producing ìlow winesî which are around 70 proof.

Step 4. Column Still Distillation: This distillation purifies the alcohol to over 180 proof.

Step 5. Barrel Aging: Our rum is aged in oak bourbon barrels.

Step 6. Blending and Bottling: Depending on the type of rum, we blend rums of various ages for consistency in flavor. The spiced rum is aged with fresh, whole spices for weeks.
